About the course

Welcome to our online TESOL course, where we offer a comprehensive 156-hour programme designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in teaching English as a second language. Our course consists of two modules, carefully crafted to provide a well-rounded learning experience. Through the past 10 years we have trained and certified hundreds of teachers who are now successful teachers, academic coordinators or have gone to start their own ESL teaching centre!

• No extra fees for students who need to redo any part of the course

• Upon completion, students receive an International TESOL certificate, equivalent to the in-class course.

Module 1:

• Interactive online sessions with a trainer following the in-class curriculum.

• Delivered through Zoom, with various platforms used for activities and projects to simulate a physical classroom.

• Hands-on experience in teaching English, with ample practice time to build skills and confidenc

• Aligned with the in-class TESOL program, designed to prepare students for independent teaching.

• Continuous feedback from expert teachers on strengths and areas for improvement.

• Covers essential techniques, including lesson planning and classroom management.

Module 2:

• Focus on self-research, allowing students to choose and explore two skill topics of interest.

• Personalized approach to deepen understanding of specific teaching methodologies.

TESOL Certification Details

Our TESOL certification is issued by Australian International TESOL, offering you an internationally recognised qualification to teach English globally.

The programme is structured into two modules:

• Module 1: Interactive online sessions simulating a classroom environment, led by experienced trainers.

• Module 2: Independent research on two Key Skills topics, chosen from a selection of 19.

What’s Included?

• TESOL Certificate: Delivered within 7-10 working days upon successful completion of both modules.

• Transcripts: Two detailed transcripts documenting the Key Skills topics completed during Module 2.

Regarding the TESOL certification in collaboration with Australian International TESOL

• The TESOL Certificate from Australian International TESOL is issued directly from Australia.

• The certificate is internationally recognised, with authentication available from the Australian Embassy/Consulate in Vietnam and can also be legalised to support work permit application in Vietnam.

• The certificate is valid for a lifetime.

• The TESOL certificate is highly valued by educational organisations and international schools for recruitment purposes.

Additional Options

• The certificate can be notarised at the Australian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City if required by employers.

• A notarisation service is also available through us for an additional fee.

Further Opportunities

Students who successfully complete the course can upgrade their studies to obtain a TESOL Diploma (Module 3). This involves completing research on an additional nine Key Skills.

Entry Requirements

The only requirement for joining our TESOL course is a strong command of English. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• IELTS: A band score of at least 6.0, or

• Academic Background: A degree in a major where English is the primary medium of instruction.

If you do not meet these criteria, you can book a free placement test with one of our trainers to assess your English proficiency. This can be done either online or in person.

Course Pass Criteria – Module 1

To successfully complete Module 1 of the TESOL course, students will be evaluated on the following six criteria:

1. Theory Exam

• A theory exam will take place on the 10th day of the course.

• Students will study the content for the exam from the OIC TESOL Manual provided upon enrolment. The manual includes key takeaways, summaries, and review sections to aid preparation.

• The minimum passing score is 27/40.

2. Pronunciation Assessment

• Students’ pronunciation will be assessed throughout the course and scored at the end.

• The minimum passing score is 90/100.

3. Lesson Plan

• Students will work in groups to prepare a lesson plan during the course.

• This plan will be used for a lesson presentation on the final day.

• The minimum passing score is 90/100.

4. Participation

• Active participation in activities, discussions, and presentations is required to develop teaching skills and receive feedback.

• Participation will be recorded as Active or Passive in the course evaluation.

5. Teaching Presentation

• After completing the course, students will have one week to submit their teaching presentation for trainer evaluation.

• Students can submit:

  • A recording of an online class they teach.

  • A recording of a lesson taught in a classroom.

  • A live teaching session arranged at our centre.

• The minimum passing score is 70/100.

6. Overall Performance

• Students must meet the minimum passing score for all competencies to successfully complete the module.

Retaking Competencies

• Students who fail to meet the minimum scores may need to rejoin the course or redo only the specific competency, as determined by the trainer.

• No additional fees will be charged, as this course operates on a one-time payment basis.
